CommonHelp: Offers grants for qualified individuals to live in assisted living, adult foster care, or a supportive housing setting.

Adult Care Center of the Roanoke Valley: 2321 Roanoke Boulevard, Salem, 24153 | 540-981-2350 | Provides daytime care (2-5 days per week) for disabled adults who are unable to stay home alone, with structured programs, lunch and snacks, and assistance with daily living activities. Respite care for caregivers.

Charles R. Hill Community Center: 820 E. Washington Ave, Vinton, 24179 |540-283-7079 | Active senior adult program offers activities including cards, Tai Chi, and line dancing for adults 55 and older.

LOA Area Agency on Aging: 4932 Frontage Rd NW, Roanoke, 24019 | 540-345-0451 | Diners' Clubs meet weekly for programs, friendship, and a hot meal. The program is free, with donations suggested as diners are able. More information here.

Salvation Army: 724 Dale Avenue SE, Roanoke, 24013 | 540-343-5335 |Seniors with Spirit program: Two days a week, The Salvation Army hosts seniors 55 and over for four hours of fellowship, activities, renewal, and fun! From bowling and crafts, to Bible studies and Bingo, be a part of a group with energy, love, and support to share.
