Family Promise of Greater Roanoke: 37 East Clay Street, Salem, 24153 | 540-444-7374 | info@familypromiseroanoke.org | Area churches host families for a week at a time and provide food and a place to sleep.  The Family Center provides laundry, food, showers, locations to keep personal items, and computers, as well as assistance with employment, housing, and childcare searches.  Family mentoring is also available.

Homeless Assistance Team (HAT): 339 Salem Avenue SW, Roanoke, 24016 | 540-853-1715 or 540-853-1163 | homeless@roanokeva.gov | Provides outreach services and case management to homeless individuals and families needing help providing permanent housing, including emergency and transitional shelter, case management, and support services.

Roanoke Rescue Mission: 402 4th Street SE, Roanoke, 24013 | 540-343-7227 | The Roanoke Rescue Mission offers emergency shelter and transitional housing, free clinic for the homeless, recovery programs for those battling addictions, meals, food box pickup, GED, arts, and life skills classes, and Jubilee Acres summer day camp for children.  

The Lampstand: 540-397-2123 | info@thelampstandva.org | The Lampstand shelter provides residential, comprehensive, trauma-informed aftercare for girls ages 12-17 who have been affected by sexual exploitation.  The Lampstand also promotes awareness through training for students, professionals, churches, and other groups.

The Least of These (TLOT): 422 Luck Ave. SW Roanoke 24016 | 540-556-3200 | roaleastofthese@yahoo.com | The Least of These Ministry provides needed items to people living on the streets as well as prayer and welcome, and helps individuals transition to permanent housing.  Much of this ministry takes place in driving throughout town to look for individuals in need. | Open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, 1:30-4:30 pm by appointment.
