We provide outpatient treatment  and care for patients who are battling drug or alcohol addiction.  Our evidence-based approach is effective and incorporates medication-assisted treatment (MAT), along with individual counseling, group therapy, social service support, and work on co-occurring disorders. 

Mental Health Navigation Line: 540-985-6999 | Available to Roanoke City residents Monday-Friday, 1 pm - 7 pm | Carilion Clinic's Community Health and Outreach team can assist with issues related to mental health, substance use, social services, and financial assistance.

International Quit and Recovery Registry (part of Fralin Biomedical Research Institute): Free and anonymous online recovery community with rewards for participants who help researchers learn more about addiction recovery.

On Our Own Roanoke Valley: 429 Elm Avenue SW, Roanoke, 24016 | 540-362-0061 | rhubert@rvonourown.com | On Our Own Facebook | Drop-in center for people struggling with mental illness and substance use disorders, including support groups, social activities, and events, especially on weekends and holidays. Membership is open to anyone who has spent 48 hours in a psychiatric institution, is on SSI or SSDI, or is presently receiving therapeutic treatment or counseling for a mental disorder.

Oxford Houses: Houses for individuals in long-term recovery from drug or alcohol use. Each house is independently run and residents must follow all house rules to stay. Houses are available for men, women, and women with children. To search for houses in your area, click here.

Peer Recovery Specialists and Angel Volunteers will inform the individual or family members of resources for treatment and recovery programs and assist in navigating the application process. The HOPE Initiative also informs the community at-large as to the severity of the Opioid and Addiction Crisis confronting this community.

Teen Challenge of Eastern Appalachia: PO Box 19385, Roanoke, 24019 | 540-473-8148 | Teen Challenge offers a Christ-centered residential program for teenage girls dealing with addiction, self-harm, eating disorders, and other controlling problems.  The program includes counseling, private school, and support.
