A three movement piece was written for the 2017 year. In this context, Hero is used as a Greek name and the literal meaning. The group decided to follow a story line of a pilot in WWI as he is drafted from his home town to the sky, not knowing what will come next. He experiences both the beauty of the heavens and the cold, bitter terror of war.
