The objective of this project is to create a poster that informs the audience of a particular individual (historical or current-day) who has had a notable impact on society. With this baseline, we were guided through various projects to learn and master Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. The revolving theme in each of these pieces is an inventor and the impact of their invention. I chose Deepica Mutyala, CEO and founder of Live Tinted: a beauty and skincare brand created for people of color.

The task was to create a series of five panels that tell a story through the combination of type and image. My chosen prompt was “Five specific ways your individual had a positive impact on society.” Each panel needed to work in cooperation with the others and all together, the series should establish a sense of continuity as a coherent visual system. We were assigned to use a variety of images to visually represent our story: icons, diagrams, photographs, collage/composite images, vector illustrations, etc.

The objective of this project was to create a process book that captures the design journey from research to final execution. It showcases stylizations, black-and-white compositions, color applications, and a final poster, followed by a five-panel visual narrative. Through critiques and revisions, the project demonstrates the development of strong visual hierarchy, balance, and storytelling.
