This week, you will synthesize everything you've learned into a skit that you will perform for your class.
Materials
- Chromebooks
- Paper, coloring supplies, and scissors/tape for props
Agenda
- Your educator will split you into groups of four. Sit with your group.
- You will have forty minutes to plan and practice your skit.
- The skit should focus on some aspect of environmental stewardship. For example, what would you do if you saw a friend throw something in the wrong recycling or waste bin or forget to turn the lights off before leaving a room? Or, how could you explain to someone how littering can affect a creek ecosystem?
- You may choose to make props to help you convey your message during your skit.
- It is recommended that you use ten minutes to go over the material and brainstorm, twenty minutes to write the script, and ten minutes to practice. The skit itself should last about three minutes.
- Perform the skit for your class (and for any parents that come in early)!
Optional activity for at home: Next week, you will be creating a visual representation of what you have learned. If you have been taking photos throughout the program and are interested in making a slideshow for your visual project, make sure you have the photos saved where you can access them. If you are interested in making a sculpture out of recyclable materials or creating a poster, feel free to bring your own materials next week (some materials will also be provided).
