Our Science teacher has completed English studies and has become a CLIL science/English teacher, implementing teaching strategies to encourage the female students (even up to 100% of them are females) to take up science careers.
Our students are mainly girls. I believe they must learn how to cope with gender inequality and fight in order to have equal opportunities both as individuals and women. They will probably be mothers in the future. As gender equality
starts at home, they have to learn how to be an equal parent from breaking down gender stereotypes to sharing the care work, and educating children about women’s rights , We will encourage a culture of acceptance embracing diversity showing them role models. They should live their family as a safe space for them to express themselves as they are and that it’s ok to be different, everywhere. We will foster a positive body lifestyle where people are not defined by how they look, but by how they act. We will explore the world of female mentors/ leaders of the past, present and future, from Madame Curie to Malala and Greta. Also, we will listen to women around us: mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, etc, and compare their experiences. We will promote and share the cause on social media and raise awareness of events and petitions on the cause.ur technology and design teacher also provide web design and coding training and runs the school website with a section involving eTwinning activities of the school.
