Mary Gan Humphrey was born Jan 27, 1835 in Toronto, Canada to Henry and Mary Ann Horne Humphrey. Mary is a Pioneer of Richmond.
After the death of Mary's parents at a very young age, she was brought over to the Salt Lake Valley in 1848 by Edward Hunter Jr. She lived in the Old Salt Lake Fort for some years before moving in with her uncle Joseph Horne. Close to the Horne home was Ariah Coates Brower, whom she married on March 5, 1854 in the Endowment House, Salt Lake City, Utah.
In 1864, the family moved to Richmond.
Mary Gan Humphrey died May 18, 1915 in Richmond. She was buried in the Richmond Cemetery.
