Today I woke up early in the morning and headed to the VIE. There, I would board a plane and go back to America.
I'd say this trip was probably the best thing I ever did in my entire life. It was a truly enlightening experience to be exposed to another culture, and not only see the touristy postcard spots, but also the culture. I wouldn't change anything about my trip, and I pretty much saw all that I wanted to see there.
The only things I'd do differently is visit Salzburg, Prague, and finally Hartheim. Salzburg is a beautiful city that I didn't get to visit. Prague is actually where one of my aunts was born. Hartheim was an Aktion T4 facility that claimed the lives of thousands deemed sick, including thousands of Steinhof/Spiegelgrund patients and even Mauthausen/Gusen concentration camp prisoners deemed unfit for work.
