An opportunistic grade 10 at Steveston-London Secondary and former student of RHS himself, William is elated to be the director of the UNSC at the very first iteration of RHSMUN! His passion for MUN stems from the long and invaluable relationships he has made from it. He often utilizes these skills in negotiating with his superiors, peers, and friends alike. Regardless, he has found the experiences and friendships that make up a key part of who he really is today, and is evermore so grateful for the opportunity. William hopes that the first iteration of RHSMUN starts an upwards trend of growth within new delegates, and specifically calls upon them to take the difficult, but possible action of finally raising the placard to speak. When he isn’t in his suit delegating as Montenegro or North Macedonia, he can be found bursting awake at 5:30 AM, procrastinating his club slides, or secretly enjoying another bubble tea while pretending to hate it. Currently a grade 10 student enrolled in Steveston-London Secondary School, Chris Yan is thrilled to serve as a Chair of UNSC at the first iteration of RHS MUN. Starting his Model UN journey this year, Chris has already seen many of the different perspectives that Model UN is able to convey. The fruitful discussions, intricate thought processes, and crafty solutions to current issues around the world are always something to look forward to in a conference. Joining Model UN has allowed him to enter a community filled with aspirational individuals with ambitions similar to himself. Outside of MUN Chris spends much of his time doing homework, reading books and enjoying time with his family. Chris hopes that RHS MUN 2022 can be a gateway for those trying to enter the world of MUN, and for everyone to enjoy their time!

As a grade 9 student currently attending Crofton House School, Emily is excited to be the Assistant Director of UNSC for the first iteration of RHS MUN. Although her MUN journey began with a slight coercion not so long ago, she has fostered memorable experiences and invaluable relationships with like-minded peers in this brain-stimulating environment. Entering the world of MUN brought new opportunities to discuss world issues and helped her develop a love for public speaking. Outside of the committee room, Emily can be found debating at 6:00 AM in the morning, managing her small business, or completely immersing herself in a book. Emily eagerly awaits the multi-facted debates and engaging discussions at RHS MUN!
