For this project, I used PC Part Picker to create my dream computer build. I chose the best hardware components that I could find that were compatible with each other to create a gaming tower that is capable of processing high quality graphics for gaming and editing content, such as videos and photographs.

While I was choosing which hardware components for my gaming tower, I realized how expensive the parts were. My total build came to $6125.86! The website also helped me visualize the different types of motherboards that are available and how people plan ahead when it comes to upgrading in the future. Since the motherboard is essentially the base unit, it is important to think if it will be compatible when newer parts come out, such as a new graphics card or whether or not it can hold more memory. It should also be compatible with whatever power supply you have so that the computer doesn't short out.
