  • Exam strategies: time management, planning/structuring a Paper 1 exam response, etc.

  • Exemplar responses (written by us session leaders) and their strengths & weaknesses

  • Collaborative (with all attendees) analysis of literary & language Paper 1 style unseen texts.

  • Past Paper Questions Breakdown — A breakdown of common content/topic areas in questions from past IB Paper 2s spanning from 2013-2018. Useful for planning out one's Part 3 texts in relation to said common topic areas within Paper 2.

  • Graphic Novel Conventions — Various conventions & formal elements common to graphic novels.

  • Literary Devices — A website with a comprehensive list of stylistic/literary devices and their definitions.

This session covered:

  • Preparation strategies to use on one's Part 3 texts

  • Overviews of trends in Paper 2 questions

  • How to break down a Paper 2 question

  • Exam strategies: time management, planning/structuring a Paper 2 exam response, etc.

Furthermore, a significant portion of this session will consist of all attendees collaboratively breaking down & discussing past Paper 2 questions, both in a general context and specifically in relation to one's texts, in order to give attendees practice in putting the elements covered in the session to practical use.

Additional Paper 2 Revision

This session is complete, haven taken place on 26 Apr 2019 from 12:00-14:00 UTC led by mythic_fci#1141 and jv#0180 on the IB Discord server (no stream). It was an informal discussion of Paper 2 strategies and past questions, both in a general context and specifically in relation to any attendees' texts.
