Overview of basic responsibilities of the local church Trustee

Rev. Kendall Waller serves as Director of Financial and Administrative Ministries of the Rio Texas Conference. In this position, he works with apportionments, year-end statistics and accounting, clergy pensions and health benefits, as well as conference property considerations. He also enjoys preaching and teaching at churches across the conference about stewardship and other topics. Kendall grew up in Kansas. He earned a B.S. in mathematics from Southwestern College (a Methodist institution) in Winfield, Kansas. Before joining the ministry, he worked as a computer programmer for AT&T, and was a manager of TG&Y stores. Kendall earned his Master’s of Divinity from Saint Paul School of Theology in 1988. During seminary, he started out as youth pastor. He served churches of various sizes in the Heartland, Pony Express, Ozarks, and Mid-State Districts of the Missouri Conference. He was superintendent of the Ozarks South District from 2006 to 2008. At the Conference level, he served on the Congregational Development Team, the Conference Finance and Administration Team and the Pathways Task Force. Kendall transferred to the Rio Texas Conference in 2017. Kendall and his wife Gale are enjoying San Antonio, where Gale is continuing her career in social services. In his free time, Kendall is an avid music fan, and enjoys collecting model trains and creating model train landscapes.
