Energy Facilities Siting Board (EFSB)

Basis of Review/EFSB Purview

• As required by statute, ESFB must determine that the project “is necessary and serves the public convenience and is consistent with the public interest.” 

• Further, the statute identifies several factors that DPU and ESFB must consider including “the environmental impacts … of the present or proposed use”.

Written Comments

Written public comments are due Jan. 28 by 5pm. Any written comments must be sent to the following four email addresses:

The e-mail accompanying the written comment or petition must specify: 

• the docket number of the proceeding (EFSB 25-01/D.P.U. 25-16); 

• the name of the person or entity submitting the request; 

• a brief description of the document; and 

• the name, title, and telephone

• number of the person to contact with questions about the filing.
