As Resident Assistants, one of your primary responsibilities at the beginning of the school year is to warmly welcome all the new residents of your floor. This involves sending a thoughtful and friendly welcome email to residents, ensuring they feel at home and informed about the upcoming events and resources available to them and also ways to contact you.
Additionally you will meet all your residents within the first two weeks of the school year. This face-to-face interaction helps in building a strong community bond, making residents feel valued and comfortable in their new environment. Your proactive engagement and approachability set the tone for a supportive and inclusive community.
