Music Reviewing
If you're on this website, you probably know me, so I'm not going to give any personal information here. I write music reviews and essay pieces, mostly on weekends and days off. I review a mix of old and new music, obscure and popular.
My Rating System (0-10 With Decimals)
10/10: An uncommon masterpiece of music that’s universal in its overall aesthetic. Qualifies for Album of the Year.
9.0/10-9.9/10: An overall excellent album that does not relent. Also qualifies for Album of the Year.
8.0/10-8.9/10: A solid effort overall, but nothing special. If we’re getting desperate, it also qualifies for Album of the Year.
7.0/10-7.9/10: A decent album that runs the gamut of quality. Not a classic, but serviceable.
6.0/10-6.9/10: Decent, but not without flaws. A bad song or two could flaw a masterpiece.
5.0/10-5.9/10: An overall mediocre effort. Not exactly a lose-lose proposition, but not something you’d really want to listen to.
4.0/10-4.9/10: An album flawed enough to make it a lousy experience for the listener. Do not purchase.
3.0/10-3.9/10: A noticeable piece of awfulness that has no high points, sits there and the bottom, and stays there.
2.0/10-2.9/10: One for the ages, in terms of albums that are revolutionary for the art of terribleness.
1.0/10-1.9/10: One of the singular most awful albums to grace bargain bins throughout the world.
0.0/10-0.9/10: A masterpiece of awfulness.
