RWadsworth Animated Logo_1.mp4 This was my 5th assignment in my Multimedia Authoring course and my first experience working with 2D animation. The class as tasked with designing a logo for any nonprofit organizations. I thought about the website that my family started for me and my brother. They were planning to expand it to other families with neurodivergent children and help connect with them. Said family member has a fascination with crabs/hermit crabs, so they wanted to include a crab somehow. Since in a loose term, the primary goal of the organization is to help individuals on the spectrum grow out of their shell and see what they are capable of, I thought the crab coming out of its shell was a decent compromise. I used a color wheel spectrum as inspiration for the shell to help differentiate it from other spiral logos and connect it more with the theme of how autism is classified through a spectrum. Since this was my first foray into 2D animation and Adobe Animate, I did struggle trying to get the crab's legs to be more animated. The process was very articulate and more so time consuming. I had issues with the animation layers no cooperating as planned. I had to compromise with something very simple since I was on a deadline.
