3D Logo
Much like the image trace tool, I found the 3D tool very straightforward and easy to use. For the logo, I used very simple geometric shapes. The shape choices were rather random in a sense, I was just playing with layering shapes. I added a cross and thought I could make a simple pharmaceutical logo. I decided to design it for an organization that specializes in disbursing medical electronic tools/supplies for hospitals. I chose the polygon shape as a base since it resembles the head of a bolt.
Designing the logo itself took most of the work in this project. The final step was to use the 3D tool to convert the 2d logo into 3D. I selected my logo, selected the effect tab and scrolled down to the 3D and Materials. Under 3D and Materials, I selected the Extrude and Bevel option to get the result I have. After the 3D conversion, I rotated the logo horizontally to get the pose seen in the final result.
