The Kata-A-Thon is an all day Redwood Dojo community event. Participants can join the Kata Challenge or the Kick Challenge (a new addition in 2025), and enjoy watching the Showcase Performances between rounds. We end the day with a potluck. Family and friends are welcome.
All proceeds from the day (including shirt sales) go to the Redwood Dojo Scholarship Fund, helping students attend West Coast Training Camp and other special events.

Our first annual Kata-A-Thon in 2024 was a great success!
Students of all ages and ranks worked hard and had fun. We performed more than 2,500 katas and raised more than $1,000 for the scholarship fund. Thank you to all who volunteered or participated, and we look forward to continuing this new tradition for years to come.
