Alexis Park

Founder/ Artistic Director/2021 &2023 Director

Alexis Park is the Founder of Recover Me.  Her belief in the power of arts and education to inspire real change is what created this event. 

She offers her gratitude to every artist, writer, actor, director, volunteer and team member who has made this event possible for the last four years. Recover Me wouldn't be the incredible event  it is without every single person who has worked on it. 

She hopes you walk away from this event with a deeper understanding of self and others. 

Alexis is also an actress and VO artist based in LA.  @alexisraepark 

Matt Tornero

2019/2020/2021 Cinematographer 

"Matt Tornero is a Los Angeles-based Producer, Actor, Writer, and Photographer, and is thrilled to return to Recover Me's videography team! He graduated Summa Cum Laude from San Diego State University in 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Arts Performance and a minor in Television, Film, and New Media Studies. He has written and produced five short films since 2018, including the Campus Movie Festival official selection "Hawaii", and his photographs have been featured in SDSU's Be International Photo Competition". 

Adam Gilmore

2019/2020/2021 Cinematographer and Editor 

Adam Gilmore is an actor, cinematographer, director, and writer based in California. He graduated from San Diego State University with a ‘C’ average and he is very excited to return to Recover Me as a cinematographer and editor. His accolades include winning Best Actor from the GI Film Festival, Best Shorts Competition, and Indie Film Fest, The Award of Recognition for his Cinematography on the film Lament for a Wednesday, The Jury Award for his film Starcrossed at the Audience Awards, and lastly Least Likely to Succeed from his High School.

Vanessa Duron 

2019 Performer/Writer, 2020 CO-Producer/ 2021 CO-Producer

Vanessa is happy to be the CO-Producer for Recover-Me. Having participated in Recover-Me 2019 as an actor/director and writer, then as Co-Artistic Director of Recover Me 2020, this project  touches her heart. As an advocate for Mental Illness she is humbled to be part of this amazing project. She believes it is crucial to change the stigma society has on Mental Illness and give a platform to those who's stories will inspire change. Previous credits Assistant Producer/Assistant Director, San Diego Reps Latinx New Play Festival, Assistant Director, The Niceties, Moxie Theatre, Director, San Diego County Fair, Assistant Director, Fade, Moxie Theatre in collaboration with TuYO Theatre. Director, Vagina Monologues, Mesa College.  She would like to thank everyone for sharing such beautiful and personal stories.

Hannah Trujillo

2020 West Coast Director 

Hannah Trujillo is a director, actor, teaching artist, and writer based in Los Angeles. She graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a BFA in Acting, with emphasis in classical texts and Grotowski movement. Since then she wrote, produced and directed Man Down which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018, and was nominated for the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award. Her other directorial works include Purging from the 2019 RecoverMe project; and most recently The Merchant of Venice at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts which was gender-bent, movement based, and retold the story of a persecuted Shylock. Hannah is grateful to be working with Recover Me again.

Alana Nicole Fineman

2020 West Coast Stage Manager

Alana is thrilled to join the Recover Me team this year as the stage manager for the West Coast! She is a graduate of the Emerging Artists Program at Intiman Theatre in Seattle, WA, and has worked throughout Washington State and in San Diego as a stage manager, producer, writer, actor, choreographer, and sketch comedian. She is the founder and artistic director of Red Leather Theatre Company, a New York-based company focused on reimagining classic works in unconventional performance spaces. Credits include: The Tale of Despereaux (Script Assistant, The Old Globe), Theatre on the Move (Stage Manager, La Jolla Playhouse Without Walls Festival), The Chinese Question: The Tacoma Method (Co-Playwright/Assistant Stage Manager, empathos company), Romeo + Juliet (Producer/Stage Manager, Red Leather Theatre Company). 

Cammerron Baits

2021 East Coast Producer, Director, Choreographer// 2020 East Coast Director

Cammerron Baits (He/Him/His) is a passionate NYC based Director, dedicated to portraying the intricately intimate human experience through a sensitive exploration of the effects of life love and conflict on ones psyche. I am honored to be directing the east coast/international pieces this year and to be able to share in the important mission of “Recover Me.” Thank you for all of the wonderful artist who inspire me everyday and submitted your pieces so we could share your story, and Alexis for entrusting me to do so.
