Junior Classical League is the nation's premier ancient Greek and Roman enthusiasts club. It focuses primarily on culture and history of the Ancient Greco-Roman world through festivals, games, activities, and ancient tradition. One Saturday in April we (the Missouri JCL) gather at Hickman High School to conquer the competition and garner the glory for our chapter. Columbia is lucky to host state JCL every year, a convention of like-minded students who appreciate and hold true the ancient ideals and celebrate our cultural heritage.

The Columbia FFA Chapter is a chapter of the National FFA Organization which is dedicated to teaching students how to be agricultural advocates in the community. FFA combines classroom instruction, contest events in speaking and specific agricultural areas, fun, recreational events, and even encourages students to create their own agriculture project outside of school. Students experience a wide range of learning-based events, as well as events made to promote interaction with students of similar interests and hopes to encourage students to have a long, impactful future in agriculture.
You must be in an agriculture class in the career center or at one of the other high schools to be in FFA. If a student is already in an agriculture class, FFA will be introduced by the advisor (teacher) in that class and they will help you with the simple steps to get involved.
