Academic Competition

Scholar Bowl is an academic team that competes in tournaments throughout the year. Teams compete head-to-head to answer questions which topics include science, history, literature, fine arts, pop culture, current events, and more! Meetings are held Fridays in room 213. Ethics Bowl provides a safe environment for students to explore scenarios that are not clearly right or wrong. It is a fun way for students to challenge their own beliefs and to decide what values are most important to them. For more information contact Mr. Meyer (jmeyer@cpsk12.org).

Science Olympiad is a club for students who are interested in sciences and in challenging themselves. This team competes in tournaments in the spring where individuals have the chance to participate in events against other schools. Event testing dates are TBD. Science Bowl is a club for those who wish to challenge themselves through a jeopardy-style quiz competition about STEM subjects. Tryouts are required, but membership is flexible till Winter break (until the final state competition date, which is TBD). Meetings are TBD as well.
