Youth Crime Prevention Booklet (2024 Edition)
The teaching kit for the Youth Crime Prevention Booklet (2024 Edition) was launched in collaboration with the Police Public Relations Branch and the team from The Education University of Hong Kong. It aims to help teachers enhance students' awareness of the law and establish correct values by introducing issues and risks related to juvenile delinquency. This teaching resource includes e-books, crime prevention videos, and bilingual teaching materials in both Chinese and English, listing key points of five thematic crimes in the form of notes and presentations.
School-based practical work began in July 2024, with teachers from five schools conducting trial lessons on different themes. From September to November 2024, teachers from these five schools will expand to three additional schools, making a total of 20 schools conducting trial lessons. Adjustments will be made after observing frontline practical situations. In September 2024, the team will hold an online sharing session to share the "Teacher's Guide" with local teachers and distribute examples of school-based practices (including adapted teaching processes, teaching presentations, worksheets, etc.).

Student-led Overseas Experiential Learning Study Tour
The “Student-Led Overseas Experiential Learning Study Tour” is funded by the Master of Arts in Experiential Learning Leadership in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at The Education University of Hong Kong. Supervised by Dr. Raymond Kong, the initiative involved 17 professional master's students designing and leading their own overseas learning tour. Through this process, they acquired key competencies for organizing overseas experiential activities, including goal-setting, briefing, showcasing learning outcomes, partnership development and collaboration with overseas institutions, as well as risk management etc.
This year’s theme was "Exploring the Ideas and Practice of Life Education for Pre-service Teachers". Centered around the core philosophy of The Three Questions of Life, this four-day, three-night overseas learning experience integrates diverse resources to design experiential courses. It guides the participants through various contexts—natural ecology, social issues, self-awareness, and educational practice—to establish profound connections between humanity and nature, society, others, and oneself. At the same time, it fosters the graduate students' competency in comprehensive project management.
