1. Starting of Pediatric Robotic Surgery in Northern India – We started Pediatric Robotic Surgery with PGIMER being the first Government hospital in Northern India providing this highly specialised surgical modality. First case was done on 30^th Aug 2017. Since then, more than 100 cases have been successfully performed. This was well appreciated by the PGIMER administration.

First Noenatal robotic Surgery for a 2.5Kg baby of esophageal atresia

1. First robotic Esophageal atresia case – A surgical first for the world – a 2 day old 2.5 Kg newborn who was born with an absent esophagus. He was successfully operated on 20^th Feb 2019 using Robotic Surgery. This was a surgical first for the world and this child is now 2.5 years old. This was a landmark event and was well recognized by administration and media.

Mentoring and starting of Pediatric Robotic Surgery at Department of Pediatric Surgery AIIMS Rishikesh – as a part of Mentoring responsibility of PGIMER Chandigarh I had the opportunity of getting posted as a mentor at AIIMS Rishikesh. I helped the local team to start Pediatric Robotic Surgery at their institutes. First case of robotic surgery was success fully done on 6^th July 2018. This was well appreciated in media at that time. The local team is now regularly doing robotic surgery and making advancements. We also established the record of youngest patient to be operated by robotic surgery who was a 58 days infant operated for pyeloplasty. This personal record was then further broken by the new born operated later mentioned in above point.
