I want to sincerely thank everyone for the amazing support you’ve shown my campaign so far. With more than five weeks of hard work still ahead before Election Day on August 26, I’m looking forward to continuing meaningful conversations with the great people of the City of Rainbow City. .

Over the past five years, Rainbow City has made tremendous progress—from infrastructure and roadway improvements to enhanced recreational facilities, stronger support for public safety, and increased investment in local businesses. We’ve also entered into an agreement with the Etowah County Commission to annex the NEAR Mega Site in the near future.

As a member of the City Council, I’ve been proud to play a key role in these advancements. I currently serve as Chairman of the Sports Complex, which has welcomed over 50,000 visitors to Rainbow City through events such as soccer tournaments, kite festivals, 7-on-7 high school football, national and regional flag football competitions, summer camps, and most recently, the Rainbow City Drone Show—an event previously held at the Vivian Maddox Complex.

I’m grateful to Mayor Taylor and the rest of the Council for their dedication and hard work over the past five years. I’m proud to be part of a community that continues to move forward with vision and purpose.

On a professional and personal note, I am married to Tonya Vice and have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. My sons attended school in Rainbow City and I teach Government, History, and Economics at Southside High School.   I coached varsity Football for 17 years, Youth Football (Warriors-RBC) for 4 years and coach Varsity soccer (35 years).  We have won 7 consecutive Area Championships and won the Alabama State Championship in 2025.  I have been Area Coach of the Year 5 of the last 7 years and this year won State Coach of the Year for Large Schools. I have been Teacher of the Year twice, STAR teacher twice, and Teacher of the Month 10 times in my career.
