Welcome to the Rainbow Miracles Blog. Here I post whatever is on my mind!
Why do flowers grow?
Why do rivers flow?
Why do birds sing?
Why do bells ring?
Fall has come to knock on your door (and possibly knock down your door), and with Fall comes; Chilly weather, Spooky Halloween, Family-Gathering Thanksgiving and everything in between. The wind may knock you down, but get back on your feet, for you have work to do. You have leaves to rake, holidays to prepare for, new things to find, pies to bake, pumpkins to carve, and most importantly, your body to take care of! Being of use makes people feel good, so find something to do with your two hands, for Fall shall not be a season to be wasted. It is the perfect season to do awesome things!
Do you love the ocean? If you do what about it? The waves crashing on the shore? The seabreeze that blows your face with salty-air? The scent that proves you're just in reach of the ocean? Or do you jump ahead, to the jumping over waves? Swimming around below the surface? And playing around in the ocean? I recently went to VA beach, and it was wonderful. The ocean is so fun, whatever you decide to do: Bogey board, jump over giant waves, swim around like a fish, or just stand there as the waves try and knock you down!

Summer Camp's are very popular for children during the summer, whether it's for parents to have some time to focus on work, or for the fun of the kid - or both!: The question is, what type of camp? There are many different types of camp, but in my case, it is a horse-back riding camp. One of the best in the area, apparently, and it's name is Mulford Riding School (in Centreville). It's not just horse-back riding, but multiple fun, adventure-packed activities, where you do something different every day.

It's finally summer. There's one sentence to describe this beautiful feeling inside your bones, because it's not just the trees, and the sun that recognize summer but your body. Your body recognizes summer and you feel a wave of relaxation envelope you in a hug. The difficult year is finally over and you get to relax - which in my case is sitting on my tan chair swing, plunging your feet into the green grass (and feeling the earthy roots grab your feet), and reading a book as a light ripple of wind gently blows your hair. You have fun looking forward to pool parties, cookouts, having guests and vacation, but my favorite part of summer is the feeling you get; to sit back and relax and know you have 3 months before the "ol' routine" starts up again. This is how your body knows - it's summer.
Live
Live your life the way it was meant to be lived. Don’t let others decide your fate.
Laugh
Laugh when you feel like laughing. Nobody gets to control this enjoyable way of having fun. Laughing helps you bring joy to this dark, grey world.
Love
Love when you truly love. If it doesn’t come as soon as you think, be patient. If you hurry to love someone, you’ll end up with a person that deep down in your heart, you don’t actually love. When you meet a true love you will know it.
When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Instead of sulking that you didn't get more lemons, or worrying about how your lemons will run out, you make lemonade. They were given to you to make lemonade so fulfill that wish. Don't worry about running out of lemonade, or how to get more: if you use the lemons - or even the lemonade - wisely you may find greater joys in life.
Spring is in the air! Today (March 23 2023) is so warm! It's the warmest it's been since early fall/late summer. Spring, our saviour has finally come. Spring is a perfect cure if you're sick of being indoors and also real sicknesses. It got to eighty degrees today and it feels like Summer! Spring, though, has that special touch. It's not just the warm weather but there's that little tint of wind that gets you just cool enough and blows your hair. It's wonderful when you're sitting outside and just listening to music or staring at the beauties Spring withholds. If you're bored, you can always go walk through your neighborhood and sense the wonders Spring has. You can hear all the chirping birds and maybe see them perched on a tree. My favorite part is staring into the open, amazing blue sky and relaxing - Spring has come to take over. Happy Spring!
Just now I wrote the Crystal Sky in the Poems section. I got inspired when I looked outside and saw the beauty I've never seen in the world. I'm outside, sitting on a chair in the patio on my front lawn when I looked up. Straight up. There were gray/blue clouds, but when I looked in front of me, I saw a beautiful mixture of colors including orange, yellow, pink, and blue and through these light colors, I saw black trees, almost as if they were painted on canvas. It's a technique I've seen a lot of artists do where you put black on a bright color to get trees (to show the contrast) and it looked like that from here. It looked undescribable - it looked beautiful. It wasn't perfect - but nothing would be interesting if it was. That moment, I released anything in my heart and just stared in awe.

Daylight Savings started a week or so ago, and me, my family, and my friends have had trouble adjusting (like we do every year at this time). We're fine with the semi-annually contrast, but to think this is the last switch! I've always preferred Standard Time, because it's how Nature's created it, but I understand how people would like Daylight Savings too, with the brisk, beautiful afternoons! They may be difficult to switch between, but both have their ups and downs. With this being announced as the last time we switch, I'm still missing the Natural Time.
Today I was writing Limericks for an assignment I had, and the ones I made were interesting so I decided to share them! Here's one and then there's also one more you can find in the Poems section.
The Girl Who Wrote Limericks
There once was a girl who wrote limericks
She wrote them on a typewriter that clicks
Every day one word
Until her voice was heard
And her poem became Top Picks.
I was looking out the window at the beautiful smudged clouds and baby-blue sky. I thought to myself "you know, life is like that sky". It's unpredictable as the weather. It comes down hailing and 2 minutes later it's sunny. It's raining and then the miracle of a rainbow comes after patience and peace - if you're there to see it. The lines once clear are smudged like the clouds, moving around at your every move. The sky - your mind - a blazing blue of clear thoughts or a pathway to your fate. The trees in your vision the little mishaps that distracts you until you pick up onto your course again. In the end, though, you get to that end. Past the rain, past the storm, past the trees all the way to the rainbow. The miracle in your mind is that rainbow you've waited patiently for.
I've always loved yarn but a week or so ago, my mom found this Facebook page with different patterns. We tried a simple pattern that only required one sequence and the outcome looked impressive! Believe me - if you know the simple crocheting techniques, this isn't that difficult! Go to Arts and Crafts to see the outcome!
Lately when I unleash my sadness [my dog died], it comes in these Legends inspired by an app called the Chakra Oracle. I've been using it to help me try and stay strong about my dog's death. The first one came out quickly and I wrote it down as soon as possible:
The Violet Lake Legend
Violet decides to go to a park. When she gets there, a violet-purple path appears. Her curiosity takes hold and she walks the purple path. When she gets to the end, she finds a violet lake. It’s reflecting the sky because the sky is violet. A dog comes from the lake. Her name is Viola. Violet adopts Viola and the next day, they try to go there again, but the path has disappeared. Violet and Viola spend years and years together, until the day Viola dies. Violet mourns Viola, and goes to the park. There, Violet finds the same violet path from all those years ago. She takes it and absorbs the beauty of the violet lake. As she looks in, she sees Viola’s reflection. Viola is a happy dog in heaven and is free of the pain of old age. Seeing Viola happy, Violet frees her heart of mourning and goes home in a happy mind that Viola is happy, and that she got to see Viola one last time.

Recently, my dog Brodie died [3/1/23] so to help me get over it, I wrote some poems of different styles, like this Haiku:
"My beautiful dog
Play eat sleep and then repeat
Again and again".
