Volunteering is at the very core of being a human. No one has made it through life without someone else’s help.
- Heather French Henry
Volunteering lies at the heart of our humanity. It’s a selfless act that transcends boundaries and connects us all. Whether it’s lending a hand to a neighbor, supporting a cause, or simply being there for someone in need, kindness and compassion are the threads that weave our shared existence.
In this intricate tapestry of life, each act of volunteerism adds a vibrant hue, creating a mosaic of hope and resilience. From the quiet gestures of a stranger to the tireless efforts of dedicated volunteers, we collectively uplift one another.
So let us continue to pay it forward, knowing that our actions ripple through time, leaving an indelible mark on the world.
“No one has ever become poor by giving.” – Anne Frank
It's time to come together
You and I can make a change
Maybe we can make a difference
Make the world a better place
Look around and love somebody
We've been hateful long enough
Let the Good Lord reunite us
'Til this country that we love's
Undivided
---Tyler Reed Hubbard; Chris Loocke
Our program will:
Proactively seek 1-2 volunteer opportunities, every season, to donate our time and talent to our local communities by supporting and serving those who are less fortunate through our deeds and service.
Endeavor to develop community leadership and positively influence others through the identification and meeting of community needs.
Players will be strongly encouraged to participate in these volunteer opportunities as a team building exercise and as a way to contribute to those less fortunate in our community.
If at the end of each season, student-athletes are only able to look back and say we won a lot of matches, then it wasn’t worth the time, effort, and energy but if they’re able to look back and say, I learned a lot about myself, I did things that I never thought possible both physically and psychologically, I made the most important and lasting friendships of my life, I’ve learned that helping others and seeing them succeed at something is better than having it happen to me, then it is without question worth all that we do.
What Is Success
--- by Ralph Waldo Emerson
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and
the affection of children;
To earn the praise of honest critics and endure
the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To give of one's self;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;
To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and
sung with exultation;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you
have lived -
This is to have succeeded.
LET'S COME TOGETHER AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
