-The LAUSD Out for Safe Schools Campaign is intended to help educational spaces in the Los Angeles Unified District form and maintain safe-spaces by addressing LGBTQ issues in different ways. Here are some fast links some key points of information. This campaign is put forth by LAUSD's Student Health and Human Services which have the following Mission and Vision statements:
"The mission of the Student Health and Human Services (SHHS) Division is to address barriers that prevent students from learning and to optimize their health and wellness in order to facilitate academic achievement."
"Every LAUSD student will receive an education in a safe, caring environment, and every student will be college-prepared and career-ready."
-This campaign acknowledges October as LGBTQ month, and provides resources for educators to incorporate LGBTQ materials into their curriculum.
