Acetate - a plastic sheet that can be stamped on using dye ink. It can also be used as a cover on a shaker card.
Accordion - A type of zig zag fold used for making cards or mini-books.
Acrylic mount/block - clear block used for sticking an unmounted stamp on to stamp an image. You can arrange the stamp and see where you are stamping.
Adhesive Tape Runners - smaller disposable versions of the ATG Adhesive Gun.
AFCI (as the Association for Creative Industries) formally CHA. Hobby and craft vendor show usually held early each year to showcase new products.
Aleene's Tacky Glue -- by Duncan Enterprises - good for gluing down embellishments and also use on the back of clear acrylic cling stamps to make them sticky to mount on acrylic block.
Anti-Static Bag - small bag filled with corn starch or baby powder that is rubbed on card stock before stamping and embossing to prevent annoying embossing specks. Same as a Anti-Static Puff.
Art Eraser - EX: Magic Rub by Prismacolor to erase colored pencil mistakes or pencil lines.
Artist Trading Card - baseball card sized cards that are stamped, drawn on, or collaged. AKA "ATC" These are meant to be traded only.

ATG Adhesive Applicator Gun -- by Scotch - Glide and roll tape strips onto paper - no messes and adheres strongly, more so than a glue stick. Buy a ATG and then refill with new tape when needed.
B
Block - what a stamp is usually mounted on, wood blocks for rubber or acrylic blocks for acrylic stamps.
Bone Folder - a tool that helps create better folds when you rub it on the folded edge.
Brayer - tool that rolls to create pressure when you have glued things together or you can ink it up to roll on color to your paper.

Craft and Hobby Association - CHA - a group of vendors that put on a craft trade show between January and March to show new products in the field of paper crafting. Around 2016, the show was re-vamped to include more than just paper arts. It is known now as AFCI (as the Association for Creative Industries) and includes other hobbies such as knitting, sewing, model making. 2017 marked the debut of the re-vamped show in their new home, Phoenix AR.
Cardstock or CS - heavy weighed paper (55-80 lb) that is used in card making.
Carpet Tape - a foam double sided adhesive, an economic alternative to Pop Dots.
CASE - Copy and Share Everything - when you are inspired by another card and recreate it exactly as you originally saw it which was created by someone else.
Cat's Eye - small ink pads shaped like an eye by ColorBox that are used to give an image multi-color -- EX: Red for a rose, maybe a pink highlight on the rose, and greens for the stem and leaves.
Chalks - a way to color your images. Use a quality setting chalk spray NOT HAIRSPRAY which can damage your work.
Chalk Ink Pads - ink with a pastel shabby chick light look.
Cling Mounted Stamps - acrylic see through stamps that are placed on an acrylic block.
Collage - a collection of arranged images
Colorbox - name of an ink company.
Corner Rounder - a punch that rounds the corners of square paper/ cardstock.
Corrugated card - card or paper with ripples in it.
Corrugator or paper crimper - a hand held device/tool that creates textured rippled paper.
Cricut - company that makes CuttleBug which is a die cutting machine. They also make other cutting products.
Crop-O-Dile - a heavy duty tool that punches through thickness and also can set eyelets or snaps.
Cushion - a spongy mat that is in the middle of the wood block and the rubber die.
Cutting Mat/Board -- helpful when working or using an X-acto knife. Look for "self healing" ones that don't show cut marks.
Crystal Lacquer or Diamond Glaze - clear dimensional glue that dries clear and leaves a glossy clear glass like finish.
CS - abbreviation for Cardstock
D
Dauber - a sponge that you use to dab ink onto paper or use to blend.
Dauber Duo - small ink in a stick form that has a dauber on one end and the ink on the other.
Decorative Scissors - scissors that have a special blade to cut paper edges. Some include waves, zig-zag, postage stamp. Fiskars has a range of them.
Diamond Glaze or Crystal Lacquer - clear dimensional glue that dries clear and leaves a glossy clear glass like finish.
Dies - what the red rubber is called. It does not always have to be red though, other colors exist.
Die Cuts - pre-cut paper shapes on a thick board used as an embellishment.
Distress Inks - by Tim Holtz - inks that give a shabby grunge vintage look to a stamped image.
Double stick tape - handy to put cards together and more reliable than glue stick.
Double stick foam tape - like PopDots or rug/carpet tape used to add dimension to a card.
Dye Ink - a type of ink that is permanent when stamped on paper.

E6000 - a very strong and somewhat smelly glue for metal (like charms or gems) or heavy pieces.
Embellishment - any decorative item on a card. EX: Bow, buttons, brads, baker's twine, die cuts, brads, gems, etc.
Embossing - adding fine plastic pieces to pigment ink, heating them to melt and create a raised surface.
Embossing Folders - used with a Cuttlebug to create textured paper.
Embossing ink - same as pigment ink.
Embossing Powder - comes in various textures including glitter, used with pigment ink and when heated, creates a raised bumpy surface.
Embossing Tinsel - embossing powder with metallic tinsel type bits, confetti or particles that give a bit of sparkle when melted.
EP - embossing powder
Ephemera - old paper items or copies of old paper items that can be used in paper arts. Things like tickets, old letters or postcards, programs, etc.
