Now, who am i to talk on this. How can you I help you believe in yourself when I am asking you believe in me about this post.

You have got the example of it when I shared my credibility as a person who could write on this topic. So what was the change in your emotions?
Give it a thought, the feelings and emotions/ subtle thoughts that were at the back of your head when you were searching on google, clicked on this link and then began reading. What changed when you learned the credibility of the writer?
Something subtle. Most times not explainable. But at this point you have made a shift to reading this material and accept what is been said. (Unless yes, you are a critical thinker or you believe in using multiple authority references and create your own beliefs).
This subtle change is allowing a space for this information to flow in through the mental defense system of filtering. If you are believing what you are reading you are allowing it to be copied and to be used later. While if you do not believe it, it will be kept as a piece of information which will be reviewed again in reference to your experiences or other Authority resources.
The reason you cannot believe in yourself is because you are not used to it. The mind is programmed to believe a source of Authority. Its the normal and healthy process of learning as a human. The first line of authority and dependence on authority is from parents. They have been the ultimate source of all informations in the earlier years of life where there is major development of Personality/ID/Mindset.
Then, it is always easy to believe in something when someone says it, because it is
experienced through the 5 physical senses. It is much more physical and intense
in experience that your own dreams. It is easy to believe. Is it not a fast and effective process to reach goals when you have someone to tell you what to do and when to do?
I wrote this topic when i was stuck in my final part of book editing and publishing process. I was out of all resources and funds. All i have i myself and my skills. For a moment i said to myself, it would have been easier if there is someone to show me directions or just boost.
But hey! Why someone else. Why i cannot do it myself?! What is the missing element?
If i can really rewire and access the emotional states when i get directions from someone else?
This is what I did.
Reprogramming myself to believe in me
Becoming aware of my patterns:
I find it easy to work out a project when someone is at the back planning it and giving directions. Well i was a research scholar and had PI to do it. Now i have my PhD degree and i have to move to the next level of academics. Now i need to plan it myself.
What happens when I do it myself:
I try doing all the things together at once. Messing up everything.
What happens when i train others:
Even if i am messed up in my planning and execution, i have trained other professionals. With all my mistakes and experiences i have been able to walk-through the process of proper learning fro them.
It is easier to train other in something i have gone through than training self in something totally new.
Here are the key points and signals to change:
1. Easy when directed
2. Inability to plan and execute
3. But easy in training and planning for others
So what I realize is, I am used to or biased in the perception of taking information from another person. And this applies equally well when the positions are switched. I can heal others in the same structure who needs directions.
I dont know what this phenomenon is called. Probably 'Karma'. LOL!
Lets call it Subconscious Structures. You get what you do, You do to others what you get. A cycle.
But is it possible to step out of this cycle and rewire the structure that I can plan for myself and believe in it.

Know the pitfalls in the new mindset. You may get into subconscious unhealthy behaviors that are much more detrimental than the earlier patterns. Stay strongly discerning in where you want to apply it and where it is best to follow others.
Believing too much in yourself
Trying to do all the work yourself
Believing self but not developing the needed skills could be total chaos (you took up the project, you so much believe in yourself, but you only believed while lacking the needed skills)
Not believing in others
Not going for professional help (know your part of job)
Getting too much into self fixing and self help (accept that you
need help at times, get it)
There are things in life that will never work out whatever you do
or believe. Stay aware.
Cognitive distortions are dysfunctional beliefs and the reason of
most issues in life/ mental emotional and relationship issues.
Here you will find a simple exercise with a healing meditation that will do all the reprogramming for yourself. The trick is simple. You are giving a signal to your mind that you are doing a thing when directed, you can direct others and you are planning and direct self to get results.
Once a signal is created, the subconscious applies it n all aspects of life. The next time you take up some project or work, you have rewired you perception, choices and emotions to take the new path.
You have created a new habit and pattern.

close eyes
relax
allow yourself feeling relaxed
Think of the situation in life where you want to believe in yourself (take a general approach when doing it for the first time)

Visualize yourself, doing your work under the supervision of Authority (your parents when related to life aspects, a senior or boss when professional aspects)
Feel it. Allow sometime
Then see the same aspect in life, where you are the authority and you train or direct a junior of your age.
Feel it. allow.
Now, visualize training yourself in planning and execution
You see and feel yourself as planning for the junior and the doing it yourself with emotions when guided.
Allow the feelings and emotions
Rest for as long needed.
take a nap
drink lots of water after the session.
