Quantum Auxilia Leo Club, in collaboration with the Kinship, Adoptive and Foster Parent Association (KAFPA) is hosting a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) Workshop series, exploring coding, 3D printing, robotics, forensic science, and animation, providing hands-on learning experiences for young enthusiasts.

Quantum Auxilia Leo Club, Caladrius Leo Club and The IT Club inspected and worked on 385 retired Chromebooks. We were able to complete repairs on 263 of them. We held a Donation Ceremony to distribute the now fully functional Chromebooks to low income students & families and foster children.

Quantum Auxilia Leo Club, Caladrius Leo Club and The IT Club held several joint Chromebook Fix-A-Thon events in the summer of 2023, to inspect and repair 378 retired Chromebooks. After inspection, proper cleanup, updates and repairs if needed, these Chromebooks will be donated to low income students & families.

A weekly program created and run by our Leos to teach little pre-K kids how to read.
We have been running it every single weekend (except holidays) since March 2019!
We used the donations raise from this (free) program to buy the materials needed to make the gifts for the World Prematurity Day recently!

Nov 17 is World Prematurity Day (premature babies).
We spent 6.5 hours over 2 days making gifts for NICU (intensive care center for premature babies) doctors & nurses to share appreciation for the special occasion. Our Leos and parents designed and hand-drawn decorations on tote bags, made origami paper lily bouquets.
President Angela & Vice President Dana took the hand-painted gifts to doctors and nurses at Valley Medical Center NICU (intensive care for premature babies), to show appreciation on World Prematurity Day (11/17). The doctors and nurses were really happy and had fun picking out tote bags hand painted by our Leos, in their favorite color.

Volunteering at the Saratoga city annual Halloween special event, Witchy-Walk-A-Bout. About 300 children show up for Witchy and expect goodies from every store. Our Leos dresses in costumes and handed out candies and other goodies the village for the children.

Prepared a tower-building project for Valley Medical Center NICU Reunion (for premature babies). Held a table at the reunion, taught kids how to build towers etc structures with marshmallows and spaghetti sticks. Also taught kid songs and dances. Helped with Event Cleanup.

Volunteered at the Hokone Matsuri (Japanese Festival) local cultural event to help with setup, cleanup as well as serving food during the whole festival.

Volunteered at the 5th annual Fun & Sports with Friends (the outdoor fun day for children ages 4-18 with special needs). Paired with children with special needs, took care and played with them, rotating among the activities.
Volunteered at the St. Patrick's Day celebration event organized by the City of Saratoga.
Acted as the Downtown Leprechauns" to toss coins and hide green charms for little children to find.
Preparing for the Read-With-Kids program. We had professional trainers for teachers came over to give us tips and guidance.
68 bay area Asian organizations participated in this fundraiser for fire victims! Together we raised over $97k !!
Our Leos, as part of the event organizing team, helped with setting the desks, putting up a huge poster banner, laying out the clothing and oil paintings etc that were for sale, tending the donate sales desk, passing out concert program sheets... and stayed until the very end to help with cleaning up.

12 Leos + 4 adults went to Food sorting at Second Harvest Food Bank. Together with other organizations, we handpicked and packed 15500 pounds of apples that night!
Food from this center will go to shelters and needy families from San Mateo all the way to Gilroy.

Helped AABC & LWV (League of Women Voters) to promote voter registration, handing out info sheets, answering question, assisting people to fill out registration forms. Helped pass out food & drinks, and cleaned-up as well.

On saturday night, our Leo officers went up to San Francisco to attend our Lions District 4C4's Multi-Club Officer Installation Ceremony. They met our sponsor club's president Cindy, some district officials, as well as the officers from another Leo club, Bay Area Leo Club, also sponsored by the same Lions club.

2018 Low Vision Expo @ Santa Cruz Vista Center. Learn about tools and info regarding how to help vision impaired people. Helped guiding blind/vision impaired attendants around the expo. Helped with cleanup afterwards.
