"We Are The World" song singing
Sing "We Are The World" for a Virtual Thanksgiving Benefit Concert (Nov 2020)
San Mateo Metro Lions Club president Joanna Jia has invited us to participate in a Virtual Thanksgiving Benefit Concert. Our leos will sing a song “We Are The World” together for the concert!
Each Leo who sign up will pick a portion of the song to sing. You will practice then record your own portion and upload to your google drive, then send me a shared link to the file. (See the Recording Instructions below in blue). I would suggest everyone upload by 10/20, so if the editors notice any parts missing, we still have time to shoot those parts.
The event organizer has a really experienced professional editor to edit the video pieces and put them together for the final production. They will handle the heavy lifting. We will have fun singing. ^_^
I don’t have the music sheets and the accompaniment music from the organizers yet. But I googled and found the lyrics with the original list of singer names. I have tailored the sign up sheet so that you can sign up for which line(s) of the song you will sing. (Write you name down in the left most column first, then put your name in the blue boxes for the lines you want to sing.) We will need roughly 16-20 singers, teenagers only. So let’s get the signups going first, then practice later. =P If you have friends / classmates who are not in our club but want to participate, please let me know and sign them up for them as well. (Only Leos & parents in the mailing list have permission to Edit.)
