As some of you may know, a Lion / Leo year goes from July 1 to next June 30. So it's time to elect our club officers for the coming 2025-2026 term. (July 1st, 2025 - June 1st, 2026)
Election Day is tentatively set to be on Sunday 6/29/2025. This should give our new members enough time to participate in club activities, and to be heard and seen.
It will an in-person meeting.

Anyone who is interested in running for an officer position can email me and Gary to express your interest and which position you want to run for. Please prepare for a 2-min self intro / campaign speech to be given on Election Day. If you cannot make it to the Election physically, you can pre-record your speech, we will play it during the mtg.
Votes will be cast anonymously. The Election mtg will be recorded. Members who cannot make it to the mtg can watch the recording afterwards, and send their votes to me within 2 days. Election results will be announced on the 3rd day.
Here's a list of potential officer positions:
* VP
* Co-VP
* Secretary
* Treasurer
* Membership Chairperson
* Event Coordinator (can be multiple)
* Marketing Director / Webmaster / Social Media Mgr (can be multiple)
Lead the Leo Club and oversee long-term planning
Represent the club in collaborations with other organizations
Lead outreach efforts (ex. potential partners or speakers)
Ensure clear communication with collaborators and club members
Ensure each event/project meets its intended goals
Review proposed plans for feasibility and suggest improvements
Decide which events/projects to pursue and finalize proposals
Lead club meetings.
Support the President in key decisions
Help lead outreach efforts (ex. potential partners or speakers)
Help manage overall event coordination
Help review proposed plans for feasibility and suggest improvements
Work closely with Event Coordinators to ensure event plans are complete and executable
In the absence of the club president, club VP assumes the duties of the president to lead meetings and / events.
Help schedule and organize club meetings
Facilitate discussions and take detailed meeting minutes
Help track member responsibilities and send reminders as needed
Make sure Google Calendar invites for mtgs & events are sent
Create Google Forms for volunteer registration
Manage all club-related financial transactions
Record transactions on spreadsheet
Maintain accurate records of income and expenses
Review (with the officer team) and approve/deny monetary requests from project proposals
Ensure transparency and accountability in budgeting
Plan and implement the club’s recruitment strategy
Support/Familiarize new members in their first year
Plan and execute specific events that align with club goals
Create event materials, such as workshop content or activity outlines
Apply your unique skills and strengths to bring ideas to life
Discuss plans with club members via meetings, Discord, or email
And/Or propose new project(s).
Lead design efforts to design promotional graphics and materials for events
Promote events through appropriate media channels
Update the club’s website and Instagram page as necessary (ex. after each event to reflect recent activities)
