Aqualungia - aqua-loong-ee-ah
a severe and often fatal illness contracted by ingesting tainted saltwater or infected fish, causes vomiting, blurry vision, vertigo or dizziness, excessive thirst, and general weakness of the body, blood in vomit or stool is common as the disease progresses; if not treated within two weeks before it progresses past the point of treatment; requires high-grade anti-bacterial treatments, pumping the stomach is required if ingested via fish in the stomach
Aquanox - aqua-nox
a mild to severe illness contracted by ingesting tainted seawater or fish; causes vomiting, blurry vision, vertigo or dizziness, and general weakness of the body; is slow to start, not showing symptoms for up to five days, but quick once symptoms appear in full; must be treated within three weeks or leaves permanent damage to the lungs, stomach, and possibly gastrointestinal track; requires high grade anti-bacterial treatments and pumping the stomach is recommended if ingested via fish in the stomach
Peroxi - pear-ox-ee
like peroxide, made from unknown ingredients, stings and can sizzle when in contact with salt or salt water

a stone-like mixture commonly used for flooring
Crys - criss
a crystal formed naturally by the sea, is highly conductive to en and used as a method of communication via sound over long distances; usually a combination of either purple, green, blue, or cream, each crystal has its own frequency and can only be communicated with when that exact frequency is entered via a series of taps while connected to a hookup
En
a type of energy derived from both sunlight and moonlight, used to power most powered mechanical or technical things; can also be generated by manually moving a set of pedals but that form is of last resort and inefficient; can be gathered by the weakest light except in caves
Enbuls - en-bulls
bullets made of a thin frame of metal and filled and charged with en; can be charged either blue or yellow depending on the metal
En-crys
a crys that has been hooked up to a stand of wires; a metal pad below serves as the call-space where the patterns can be tapped to avoid wearing down the crys, comes with a speaker (can be removed but connected via a wire, or on a stand)
Issan-glass - ease-ahn glass
a special form of blue tinted glass made from sand and conut milk heated in a special mold
Stuca - stuck-ah
cement-like stone, usually made from sand and charcoal mixed with water or conut milk to form mortar or coating for construction
Guia - gee-ah
Instruments with a long neck, hollow body with a hole or depression in the center, and anywhere from two to seven strings leading across the body to the head; a small key, one for each string, is inserted into the head to control the tension in each string; creates low to deep sounds when played with fingers or pics
Hurdur - her-der
A form of the ancient hurdy-gurdy, a small crank at the bottom end is moved back and forth to cause smooth wooden gears inside the thick body to rub against one of the two to five strings that run up the inside of the instruments neck, a thick box with seven keys sits around the neck and can be pressed to produce a different sound; knobs found along the head are for tuning each string individually; music is haunting and travels easily
Kina - keen-ah
main form of currency in much of the world, made from metal pounded into thin oval disk and burnished blue
Le - lay
like ale; fermented bitter fruits mixed with kellit or conut milk and aged five years minimum, has a light fruity flavor but bitter aftertaste, usually pale gold, yellow, or even almost clear with a yellow tint, foams when poured
Photoglass
a special kind of glass that can absorb special ink to inscribe whatever the mirrored surface sees, creating a photo that will fade over time and require additional applications of glass-ink to prevent loss of whatever was inscribed, turns amber-toned with age and takes up to five decades to fade completely
Sleepy Syrup
a special syrup made from biburry berries, herbs, and fresh water; a single teaspoon alone can put a grown man to sleep for several hours, usually reserved for incredibly sick or injured people that are in a large amount of pain and need to rest
Teleglass - tell-ah glass
a retractable telescope, usually from 3 to 9 inches long, retracts inwards to be shorter, fitted with issan-glass
Vio - vee-oh
a small instrument with a short neck, slightly thicker hollow body with either two or four thin holes cut into the top face, and wide head at the end of the neck; two to five strings extend from the head to across the body, each with a small key that controls the tension; usually played with a straight-stringed bow; creates a high-pitched moan when played
