Evangelism is the practice of sharing the gospel, which is the good news that...

1. Christ's Nature: Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is fully God and fully man.

2. Incarnation: Jesus, while eternally existing, was made incarnate to the virgin Mary being born human.

3. Perfection: Jesus lived a perfect life, proving sinless in the sight of God.

4. Atonement: Jesus was crucified, yielding up His spirit to be the sacrificial atonement for sinners that put their faith in Him.

5. Resurrection: Jesus was buried, but raised on the third day to become the firstborn from the dead.

6. Ascension: Jesus ascended to heaven to be seated at the right hand of His Father, and gave the Holy Spirit to the church to powerfully proclaim His grace.

7. Salvation: Whoever believes in the name of Jesus will be saved from the punishment of hell and granted eternal life in paradise to worship and enjoy Him forever.

In PBF, we make evangelism on campus a priority. We believe that if Jesus says something, we do it. Jesus commands in Matthew 28:

18 ...“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

This was one of Jesus's final commands to his disciples before his ascension, and it serves as the great mission of the Church age to fulfill for all believers. A key component of the great commission is that Christians must seek to make disciples of all nations. Purdue University is a unique location in the world, as it is an educational university that accepts students from nations all across the globe. What better place is there to evangelize, than a place where the nations are at your doorstep?
