Trailblazer is not just a group, but a philosophy. It's a commitment to continuous learning, challenging the status quo, and pioneering change. They are everywhere, and they continue to electrify the world as they embody and portray themselves as beacons of hope. They transpire to inspire, they flourish to nurture others, and they develop to transcend. Pulse, the official student publication of Southern Leyte State University-Maasin City Campus (SLSU-MCC), is honored to showcase these trailblazers from SLSU-MCC as they grace the cover of the inaugural magazine issue of Pulse. The cover has this conviction to provide a platform for outstanding vanguards from different walks and paths in life as they try to conquer the havoc predicaments life has to offer. The graphic design depicts the various personas of Mighty Kingfishers, an institution that aims to establish the word "trailblazers" as a byword for inspiration. Let their story be seen as a model of the manner in which anything is possible in nurturing and sharing bravery among individuals. Inferiority, negativity, concerns, and doubts will always exist, given they are inevitable; but let these luminaries be the light that guides you out of the darkness.
The Southern Leyte State University-Maasin City Campus offers a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration that work synergistically in the pursuit of human and social development.
