Kadasig, SLSU-MCC social work department's internal student publication, endeavors to become an avenue for responsible freedom of expression. Living up to the publication's slogan, "Our Voice, Our Paper," Kadasig transcends to be zealous in the promotion of social consciousness. The publication is supervised by their bodacious publication adviser, Kristoper Rex Oraiz, MSSW. Kadasig had the successful publishing of its inaugural issue on August 22, 2023, and recently released their second issue delineating a moving concept, which is "Transcend".
Despite the initial statement of Kadasig via a Facebook post on their official Facebook page, the publication shuts down all its operations due to a limitation of funds. Kadasig may have closed its doors to pages on paper, but a new door suddenly ajar. With the editorial boards' zest for writing, a metamorphosis took place in shifting from paper to digital. On February 14, 2024, Kadasig yet again released another statement divulging the exhilarating news of the publication spreading its wings online to continue providing an avenue for responsible freedom of expression.
Kadasig calls out all its loyal patrons to continue supporting and rooting for them as they try to unfold a new chapter of their journey. Kadasig's editorial board will continue to transcend and flourish, for they are no longer afraid of storms because they are learning to sail their ship.
