Welcome to Psych 120, Human Sexuality! This course will examine sexual behaviors and values in society from a biological, psychological, social, cultural, historical, and lifespan perspective.
This is a completely ONLINE course with no required meetings.
Summer 26: Sec. 3077: June 15 - July 23
This course will explore the diverse aspects of human sexual behavior, attitudes, and relations. Examine the complexities of biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors that shape our understanding of sexuality. From the exploration of sexual anatomy and physiology to the examination of gender identity and sexual orientation, we will survey complex topics. Together, we will foster a safe and respectful environment to discuss issues that are often considered taboo. Join us as we embrace the diversity of human sexuality and expand our knowledge to promote healthy and informed attitudes toward this essential aspect of human life.

PlayPosit is the tool used for interactive lectures. You will need to watch, listen, and participate in pre-recorded lectures.
Edpuzzle is a video-based system with embedded quiz questions.
Both programs are free, already embedded in Canvas, and have unlimited attempts.
Canvas quizzes will also be used
You will have small group discussions on Pronto.
Each discussion has its own rubric for grading, ranging from 5 to 30 points.
Pronto discussions will be video-based and have a group written component..
This assignment involves a small group discussion that must be conducted and recorded in Pronto with your assigned group members.
Pronto Assignment Rules
Use the Assigned Groups: Discussions must occur in the Pronto groups I created in Canvas. Do not remove any members from your group.
Recording is Required: All group discussions must be recorded and members must be on video. I will review the recordings to assign grades.
Participation: You must actively contribute by speaking during each meeting to receive credit.
The course projects will consist of research and visual presentations on 2 topics assigned by the professor.
APA formatted in-text citations and references are required. Check out this example.
Extra Credit assignments are offered throughout the term to earn up to 2% towards your final grade.
