Tip #1: Check your email
You have two important inboxes to check!
Campus email: Log into InSite and click "Email" to check your Outlook inbox. You'll find important messages from the college - and many instructors will message you here before the term begins.
Class email: Once the term has started, log into Canvas and click "Inbox" from the global navigation menu (far left). This is a dedicated account for your instructors and classmates each term.
Tip #2: Log into Canvas on the first day of the course, when your course shell will be available.
There will be assignments to complete in the first couple of days.
I will drop students who don't access the course on the first day.
All orientation items are required.
Tip #3: Reach out to your professor, me!
You may be learning online, but I am still your dedicated CCC instructor, and I want you to succeed. Reach out to me with any questions! You can find contact information on the communication plan page, in your course syllabus, and/or on your class Canvas site.
I also host day and evening "office hours" where you can sign up for virtual support! Check your course syllabus and/or Canvas site for dates, times, and links. Learn more about videoconferencing in this Zoom Guide for Students.
Tip #4: Lean on us!!
Connect to specialized tutors, counselors, support services and more in our Canvas Support Hub.
