Cutbush Lane (football pitch) entrance is at [50.934168,-1.354869]. The path into the copse is visible up bank on western side of pitch.
This short circular walk starts/ends at the green cross. Virtually traffic free. Look out for Cutbush hidden pond.
This walk leads to a view (next to a pub) of the Itchen Bridge and takes in 3 other open spaces in Southampton: Hum Hole, Freemantle Common (look out for the Roman Road to Clausentum) and Peartree Green. It starts at the South East Corner of the map above. It is possible to return to Riverside Park via the Itchen Way (marked in diamond shapes - see link below to expand). Look out for Chessel Bay Nature Reserve and the hulks along the foreshore in front of Bitterne Manor house [50.918819,-1.383554].
