Including reducing stress, gardening has many health benefits. While gardening, you get to enjoy some fresh air and some exercise, along with some time to quietly reflect upon their day. Gardening also exposes you to bacteria, which may strengthen your immune system. In addition, spending time outside enables you to soak up some Vitamin D while growing your own food. And home-grown food is delicious and nutritious! Another benefit of gardening is using your creativity to grow the green space of your dreams.

Here are some gardening tips to get you started:
Choose a place to plant that will get plenty of sunshine, has space for the plant to grow, and isn't too far from a water source (like a hose)
choose plants that will thrive in the climate you live in
research the best time of year to plant your seeds
water your plants regularly, but be sure not to overwater them
make sure to use nutrient-rich soil
