Fundació Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (FUAB) participates in this project through its School of Tourism and Hotel Management (Escola de Turisme i Direcció Hotelera), the center in which tourism and hospitality studies are offered in the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) campus.

In this center, undergraduate and graduate studies in those fields are offered. More specifically, these studies are the undergraduate degrees in Tourism and Hotel Management, and the Master degrees in Hotel Management, Events Management, and Tourism and Arts. Moreover, a postgraduate course on Ecotourism and Nature Guide is also offered, apart from other specialization courses in the field of tourism.

This center has more than twenty years of experience teaching and doing applied research and consultancy in this field. The School maintains close contact with tourism institutions and the hotel sector, which ensures adequate practical experience for the students, permits the direct participation of representatives of both private enterprise and public organisations in teaching, and guarantees a wide range of employment opportunities for graduates.

The Professional programme requires the application of considerable academic expertise in order to personalise the orientation of each student's career. It also entails a follow-up on an individual basis, with the aim of enhancing the students' professional profiles by concentrating on personal preferences, aptitudes and acquired job skills.

The persons involved in this project have an extensive experience in teaching, coordinating courses, and being in touch with the tourism sector at the local, national, and international scale. They have been working for a long time in the field of consultancy, research, and educational programmes.
