Betty McDonald was a Professor at the University of Trinidad and Tobago and Adjunct Professor at Nova Southeastern University, USA with over 50 years of academic experience. She has taught at all levels of the education system, and has served as Visiting Professor to numerous universities across all continents. She is officially certified by The Department of Justice & Regulation Victoria, Australia Working With Children Check (Card No.1426970A-01). 

A member of several professional associations and a reviewer for many journals, she is the author of over 224 edited publications and presentations, comprising high impact international referred journal articles, local and international seminars and conferences, including over 45 academic books, technical reports and proceedings. 

She has supervised international exchange students and several undergraduate capstone projects, locally and internationally. Professor McDonald continues to use her expertise to advise many doctoral students (locally and internationally) under her supervision. 

A Fulbright Fellow, Haggai Institute Fellow, and Commonwealth Fellow, ACU, UNESCO, APA, Canadian Leadership & Endeavour Awardee, her research interests include assessment, teaching and learning, problem-based learning, service learning, professional development, mathematics education, applied statistics, project management, technical and vocational education, blended and online learning. 

A proud recipient of numerous awards she continues to serve in several roles in her local community as she propels national development.
