A risk assessment is a working document that records any and all risks that might happen during a task/job.
To the left is an example of a risk assessment that is in the process of being filled in. It tries to consider things that could happen and what can be done to prevent them from happening.
The example gives examples of hazards, outcomes, prevention and responsibilities to stop that risk taking place.
We do risk assessments everyday, the only difference is that we don't necessarily write them down.
On an everyday basis we perform something called a Dynamic Risk Assessment, this is where we may see a risk and take measures to prevent it.
A perfect example is tying your shoelaces, you see that they are undone, you tie them, this prevents you from tripping over them.
In this example we have the hazard - untied shoelaces, the person it affects - you, and the control of risk - tying the shoelaces to prevent a trip/fall.

You must make a copy of the document to your own drive.
It is important that you replace the blue text into your own words.
