December's theme is Think Win-Win. Everyone should have a winning mindset because it leads to the best productivity and success. Thinking win-win allows someone to go out of their comfort zone and accomplish something that they have never done before. This time of year is a great time to reflect on your winning moments that went on throughout the year and what you can accomplish in the future.
Perseverance is the ability the endure the hard challenges in life. It’s the ability to come out strong in the end by adapting and learning new things. Perseverance is a crucial leadership trait to have in all aspects of life. It’s one of the building blocks of proactivity and it should not be undermined.
Having the ability to set priorities and getting what needs to get done first is a crucial character ability for an individual to have. This habit is crucial in preventing procrastination in school and the workplace. You will find that if you put first things first, you will have an overall happier mindset because you're productive and effective with your time.
Hopefully, you are still being proactive in school, and have at least 200% for every class grade. Next month you must get a 300% grade. You must synergize your mind and body to prepare for the future problems that will be flung at you. Synergizing can also be used to smarten yourself and prepare for reactive people. Getting enough sleep is synergizing because you are recharging your body and mind, and sleeping is therefore proactive at night.

We hope you are all being proactive in school and have read at least 80 books this summer! Sharpening the saw is one of the seven habits of proactive people. Sharpen the saw can be taken literally. The founder of Proactive Hub always sharpens the saw. If you cannot do math with your hands you do not deserve them. The saw is the perfect tool to rid a reactive person of their fingers or hand.
Being able to adapt when faced with change is a key component to have as a proactive individual. Change happens every day in life and you have to be able to adapt to it easily. When someone adapts to change they will find that they made the right choice instead of complaining or resisting change. Especially nowadays amid the Coronavirus Pandemic it is all of ours responsibility to adapt to a new way of life in order to ensure the virus does not spread to more people.
Being innovative is the ability to develop new ideas in order to create a solution to problems that come across you in life. Innovative people are also creative thinkers, people who can think of a new way to solve a problem that was never thought of before. The ability to be Innovative is a very valuable skill to have because it will help you pull through the toughest situations. Innovative people succeed in life because of the great contributions they make to help everyone. If no one was innovative, how could anything new ever be invented?
The habit of Sharpen the Saw is featured in the Book The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven R. Covey. Sharpening the Saw is the ability to preserve the knowledge you learned so you don't forget it in the future. In other words you should always be practicing the skills you have acquired throughout your life because you will lose them if you don't. For example if a math mathematician didn't keep practicing (sharpening) their math abilities, then their skills would probably go down and they wouldn't be as good as they used to be.
Being Self-Reliant is the ability to think and do work as an individual without having to rely on others to help you. Please do not think being self-reliant is interfering with your synergism as a proactive individual. Think of being self-reliant as the ability to work to your fullest potential as an individual and not having to rely on other people in a group to carry your weight.
Synergism: the ability for people to work well in a group, it is a key component in being a proactive being.
