The Prism Remote Control Script creates a seamless connection between Prism and Ableton, enabling tight control and sequencing. It follows these rules:
Track mirroring
Prism mirrors Ableton’s track names and colors. The first 16 Ableton tracks map directly to Prism’s 16 tracks.
Automatic channel assignment
The Ableton Remote Script automatically assigns each track a MIDI channel based on its order, ensuring perfect alignment with Prism.
Drum track synchronization
Ableton drum tracks are mirrored in Prism, including pad names and pad layout.
Intelligent macro control
Each Prism track’s CC modes correspond to the loaded instrument’s Macro controls. Macro mappings are fully bidirectional, so Prism and Ableton always stay in sync—no matter where changes are made.
Transport control
Ableton’s Play and Stop transport controls are mirrored in Prism. Just make sure the iOS host remains running.
Quick mixer access
Press the XY Pad button in the top-left corner of the CC screen to access track mixer controls, including Volume, Pan, Send A, and Send B.
Track Select Mixer controls
Prism’s central mixer graphic in the Track Select menu doubles as an XY pad for controlling a track’s Volume (Y) and Pan (X).

2) Connect the computer and iOS device.
If you're on a Mac you'll need enable the iOS device within "Audio MIDI Setup"
3) Setup Prism as a control surface in Ableton's settings.
4) Route MIDI between Prism and the computer's MIDI port within your iOS host.
5) Within Prism, go to "Settings"->"Ext. Controller"->"Ableton Controller" and turn it on.
6) Ableton will now ping and connect with Prism automatically.
7) As you add and edit tracks in Ableton, Prism will update. The only thing required from you is to set each Ableton track to "Monitor In", to ensure MIDI is passed through while another track is selected.
