Each track has 8 independent patterns, each acting like a fresh instance of the track—with its own unique sequence, settings, and behavior.
Every song contains 32 scenes, organized into 4 banks. A scene captures the following:
Which pattern each track is playing
Mute states at both the track and individual drum pad level
Velocity offsets for each track and drum pad
Together, patterns and scenes give you the flexibility to explore, evolve, and eventually shape your ideas into a full song structure.
Go to Track 1 -> SEQ
Press the top keypad tab to access the Scene / Pattern keypad
Let's create a second drum pattern

To Copy a Pattern:

To Paste a Pattern:
Hold the Paste button, then tap the pattern you want to paste to.
Go to SEQ Setup
Set Bars = 1
Tap SEQ twice to return to the main sequence view (SEQ with note keypad)
Press play to hear the changes. Notice how track 3 and 4 now follow our new pattern in track 2
When you select an empty scene, all data from the currently active scene is copied into the new one. Playback continues uninterrupted, so you can make changes without affecting the flow of your music. To differentiate the new scene, adjust any relevant settings within each track.
Notes:
No Manual Saving Needed: Scenes automatically update as you make changes—no need to manually save or update them.
Pattern Data Is Shared: Scenes only reference patterns; they don’t contain actual pattern data. For example, if Scene 1 and Scene 2 both use Pattern 1, and you edit Pattern 1 while in Scene 2, those changes will also apply to Scene 1.
Scene-Specific Controls: Mute states and velocity settings are stored per scene. This means the same pattern can sound different across scenes thanks to unique mute and velocity configurations.
Press the scene pad
Select S.2
TRACK SELECT -> Track 1 -> Pattern | Scene Keypad -> P.1
Track 2 -> P.1
Switch between S.1 & S.2 to hear the differences
