During my practicum training as a student Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at UAMS, I have had the opportunity to achieve Outcome 2 on numerous occasions. I have learned to develop strong rapport with patients to foster therapeutic relationships, communicate effectively, and adapt my assessment style to meet each patient where they are most comfortable. Additionally, I have been able to diagnose mental health disorders and create individualized care plans. Through patient follow-up appointments, I have also had the opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of previous interventions.
