MOTIVATION

As, in the context of climate change, hydrometeorological extremes become more frequent and severe, mitigating their impact requires a seamless integration of science, technology, and society. This symposium is motivated by the need to bridge the gap between advanced observational networks, physical understanding, predictive modeling, and the end users. By bringing together researchers, operational agencies, and decision makers, we aim to build a comprehensive framework that leverages atmospheric and hydrological knowledge for the development of early warning systems for extreme events.
