Even a great online presentation can be challenged by technical issues. Checking your technology in advance can help minimize some of those issues.
Below are some resources to help you understand and test settings for some common video conferencing tools used at Seneca:
Turn off any applications that you don't need, especially those with pop-up notifications.
If you're not using your phone to present, turn it off or have it on mute.
Disable your screensaver so it doesn't accidentally come on during your presentation
If using a laptop, make sure it is plugged in or fully charged before your session
If using a mobile device, make sure it is fully charged before your session
Have all software/browser tabs that you need for your presentation open and ready before you start the live presentation
